Las Gaviotas in Rosarito, Baja California is a reef break, suited for intermediate surfers. Current conditions: 3.6 ft waves, sw 10 mph (onshore), falling → low. Size is there, but onshore wind hurts shape. Las Gaviotas is a right-hand reef inside a gated community south of Rosarito. South and southwest swells in summer and west swells in autumn both work. It handles all tides, so the wind and the crowd usually decide the session. Rarely crowded. Best on a waist to head-high south or west swell with a calm morning.
