K-38 current conditions and local guidance
K-38 in Popotla, Baja California is a reef break, suited for advanced surfers. Current conditions: 3.7 ft waves, sw 10 mph (onshore), falling → low. Size is there, but onshore wind hurts shape. K-38 takes its name from the kilometer marker on the road south of Rosarito, and it is one of the most consistent waves in northern Baja. It works on most swell directions; northwest and west swells in winter and south swells in summer both produce good days. Mid to low tide tends to sharpen the bowl. East or northeast wind cleans it up. Crowded when working. Best on a head-high to overhead swell from the west or south with offshore morning wind.
