Nine Palms current conditions and local guidance

Nine Palms in El Cardón, Baja California Sur is a point break, suited for intermediate surfers. Current conditions: 3 ft waves, sw 10 mph (cross-shore), falling → low. Size is there, but cross-shore wind affects quality. Nine Palms is a long right-hand point on the East Cape road, north of San José del Cabo, named for the palm trees above the break. South to southeast swell is the trigger, and a mid incoming tide is usually the best call. Rarely crowded. Best on a head-high to overhead summer south swell.
