La Ocho Current Conditions Summary

La Ocho in San Juan, PR is a reef break, best suited for beginner surfers. Current conditions: 0.8 ft waves, e 16–20 mph (cross-shore), falling → low. Conditions not favorable for surfing. La Ocho sits by Escambron just east of Old San Juan and gives the capital a real longboard reef option. On small days, longboards can pick off rolling reef peaks across the spread-out lineup. When the swell is head high or the reef is drawing shallow, this is no longer a beginner recommendation.
