The Rock (La Roca, Costa Azul) in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur is a reef break, for expert surfers only. Current conditions: 1.5 ft waves, glassy, unknown. Small for this break but conditions look fun — 1.5 ft with clean winds. La Roca, or The Rock, is a punchy right along the beach from Zippers at Costa Azul. South and southwest swell is the setup; choose your takeoff carefully over the reef. Crowded when working. Best on a south swell at mid to high tide.
