About This Spot
Satellite Beach sits on a barrier island and features a coquina sand shelf and shifting ocean floor. When E‑SE swells hit, the wave produces long, hollow lefts over a shallow reef, but exposed rocks and shallow water pose hazards. Intermediate surfers will enjoy its power when conditions align.
Local Etiquette
Don't drop in on locals and never throw your board near exposed rocks. Respect fishermen along the shore.
