Point Dume is a reef break in Malibu, CA suited for intermediate surfers. It picks up swells from SSE to WSW (160°-240°). Best surfed at 1-3.5ft. Hazards include rocks, long paddle, strong currents, private property access. Prime season runs July through September. Expect medium crowds. Offshore winds come from NE (45°). Point Dume is a scenic reef break at the southern end of Zuma Beach. Mid tide, NE winds, 3-5 ft S swell. Position near the reef and watch for the S swell lines. Mid to low tide best.
