Cerritos Point
point
intermediate

Cerritos is the most beginner-friendly beach on this stretch of coast, south of El Pescadero. A right wraps off the headland at the north end on northwest swell, and the beach takes south swell in summer. Board rentals, lessons and food are available on the beach, and the area is developing quickly.

Evening access

Free parking at the beach, off Highway 19.

El Pescadero
reef
advanced

El Pescadero is the town between Todos Santos and Cerritos on the Pacific side of Baja California Sur. The beach in front produces A-frame peaks over sand and shallow reef, and it picks up both summer south swell and winter northwest swell. It can get crowded when it is good.

Evening access

Right off Highway 19. Camping and services are nearby.

Playa Las Palmas, also called Palm Beach, is a sheltered cove near El Pescadero backed by a palm grove. The surf here is consistent, with urchins, rips and rocks to keep in mind.

Evening access

Reached from Highway 19 near El Pescadero. Walk in from the parking area.

San Pedrito is a powerful right-hand reef between Todos Santos and El Pescadero, framed by palm trees. It is at its best on winter northwest swell, when it produces long walls. The reef is sharp and there are urchins.

Evening access

Follow the signed turnoff from Highway 19. Parking is right at the beach. Todos Santos is close for food and water. Booties are a good idea.
