Best Surf Beaches in Camalú

Punta San Jacinto, better known as Shipwrecks, is the right point south of Camalú with the rusting hull of a wrecked ship on the beach. It is a well-known camping stop on the Highway 1 route. The wreck is a hazard in the lineup, so know where it is before you paddle out.

Rincón de Baja is a sheltered point near Camalú. It does not break often, but its shape keeps it cleaner than the open beaches when the wind comes up.

Robert's Left is a reef near Camalú, south of Colonet. It is mainly a winter wave, when west swell and a northeast wind line up. The rocks at the takeoff and exit need attention.

Camalú is a farming town on Highway 1 in the San Quintín valley, with a rocky point on the coast nearby. It is a quieter stop than the better-known spots to the north.
