Often called the 'Waikiki of Oregon,' Otter Rock offers gentle waves perfect for learning to surf. The sand-and-rock bottom provides playful peaks at all tides, though winter swells can bring larger sets.
Follow the trail down the bluff and paddle out through the channel. Be mindful of the marine reserve boundaries and avoid the rocks at the north end.
Park at the Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area lot and walk down the path to the beach. Get there early on summer weekends.
