Moonlight lights up on a medium-period west or WNW swell in the 3-5 ft range with light east or northeast winds. Early morning glass before the onshore kicks in around 11 AM is the daily rhythm. The best sessions happen in fall and early winter when summer sandbars are still intact, swells are consistent, and the tourist crowds thin out. A rising mid-tide tends to clean up the closeout sections and create more defined peaks.
