About This Spot
La Selva is a secluded surf zone within the Northeast Ecological Corridor near Luquillo. A NE swell wraps into the headland, producing a right‑hand point wave with adjacent beach‑break peaks. Intermediate and advanced surfers enjoy 4–8 ft waves in an unspoiled setting backed by palms and El Yunque rainforest. Access requires a hike or 4×4 and the area is protected as a sea‑turtle reserve.
Local Etiquette
This area is sacred to the local surf community and wildlife. Pack out everything and respect nesting turtles. Don't disturb the quiet vibe.
