Early access

Walk straight down Forster Street from the Coast Highway in downtown Oceanside directly onto the sand. The beach is flat with no bluffs or stairs, making it one of the easiest access points in North County. Multiple street ends between Forster and Wisconsin Street all lead to the same stretch of beach.

**Oceanside Harbor** (North & South Jetties) produces consistent jetty-formed rights rated 7/10. Siuslaw River mouth jetties create stabilized sandbars receiving swell 180-320° (center 270°).

Early access

From I-5, exit Harbor Dr and head west toward the ocean. Follow Harbor Dr south past the marina and restaurants. The jetty is at the south end of the harbor. You can also walk north along the beach from Oceanside Pier, but it's about a mile. The jetty rocks are slippery—wear reef booties if you plan to walk out on them.

Parking

Free street parking along Harbor Dr South fills up fast on weekends. The harbor has several paid lots ($5-15 depending on season) near the fishing pier and restaurants. Meter spots along N. Pacific St are 2-hour max. Your best bet on busy days is the large dirt lot near the harbor mouth on the south side—it rarely fills completely. Arrive before 8am on good surf days to snag a close spot.
