Hazards include rip currents, rocks, jetties, strong currents, crowds. Prime season runs February, March, August, September, October, and November. Expect crowded crowds. Offshore winds come from WNW (295°). Manasquan Inlet is renowned as one of the East Coast's premier jetty breaks. The inlet amplifies south swells into long, powerful right‑hand walls, and competitions are held here when conditions line up. Low–mid tide, W–NW wind, 4–8 ft S swell Sit just outside the jetty to line up the right‑handers; on large south swells the wave barrels and offers long rides.
