Morro Rock / Sandspit (inside bend) is a beach break in Morro Bay, CA suited for lower-intermediate surfers. It picks up swells from SW to NW (235°-305°). Best surfed at 1-4ft. Hazards include rip currents, strong longshore current, shorebreak. Prime season runs January, February, March, October, November, and December. Expect moderate crowds. Offshore winds come from E (90°). Inside Sandspit bend with wrapping peaks and easier channels than the outer bars. Mid tide, E wind, 3–6 ft W–WNW swell. Sit wide of the main peak and trim to the shoulder.
Stay clear of the main outside pack if under-gunned.
